forest-swastikas-1
An aerial view shows a giant 60-by-60 metre swastika symbol consisting of larch trees amid a green pine forest near the village of Zernikow 110 km northeast of Berlin November 14, 2000. The swastika, which was forgotten during Soviet-allied East German rule and rediscovered only after German reunification in 1992, was planted in late 1930s by a local merchant during Nazi times. - RTXK5NE
